As someone who has worked with energy (as in life force energy) for more than 20 years, I’m becoming increasingly aware of how powerful, yet invisible life force energy is. In fact, because we cannot see it, nor feel it unless we are sensitive and educated to feel it, sense it, and interact with it, we tend to not believe that it exists at all. As we all become more sophisticated in our awareness of our own energy fields and how we interact with it, as well as the fields of those around us, we are in many ways living in the dark.
As I’ve been involved with this new endeavour in my life, I’m relying heavily on my pendulum in asking questions about what is happening at a deeper level. I’m finding that my pendulum is absolutely accurate all the time, and I now understand that again, my pendulum is reflecting my level of integrity and my awareness of myself. I’m totally present to myself and not attempting to influence the dowsing responses.
We’ve all heard the term ‘dowsing’ in the context of seeking water with the willow rods. Dowsing is however, useful in much more practical situations, but we need to be in integrity when we do this process, as if we are attempting to influence the dowsing rod, or in my case my pendulum, we cannot rely on the results. It is simply giving us precisely what we want, not what is the higher truth.
Working with energy has many more practical aspects, however, and if we know how to work with it, our lives begin to feel very different. I teach a workshop called Grounding and the Art of Creating Sacred Space, in 3 Parts. This workshop is about dealing with energy at the most fundamental levels, and providing simple tools to initially ground us, so that we are securely attached to the ground. This may sound a bit strange to the uninitiated, but when we test the technique, we are clearly affected by whether or not we are grounded. Without the process, we can easily be thrown off and could actually fall over. Following the technique, we are actually stuck to the ground, and not easily thrown off. This tool is great for helping us to stay focused in discussions, stay on our feet out there on the icy street, and to be fully present to our needs in large gatherings, where we can easily be thrown off our centre. Other tools learned in the workshop, help us to clear our energy field so that we are not picking up the energy of others. We may not realize this, but we pick up stuff from others all the time, to the point that we can be influenced to make decisions based on the thoughts of our peers, rather than to stay within our own field and be present our own reasons for our decisions.
A few more tools are presented in the Ground and the Art of Creating Sacred Space Part I that help us to feel lighter, to have more energy, and begin to recognize that we are happiest when we are in our own field. Learning to prevent incompatible energy from entering our field in an invaluable skill, and we can put boundaries around our field, including that of our car, and our house that will gently and definitively maintain our integrity. Those who would have different intentions, cease to be interested in us. We can also influence the integrity of our agenda, by clearing the space where our meeting will be held, and anyone there prior to our appointment, will have cleared the space and removed themselves before our arrival.
Energy is real, and in fact, it is what is real in our world. As we become more and more aware of how much energy is valid, we become more comfortable in our world and more in charge of ourselves, our homes, our families, and indeed even our history.
Albert Einstein once said, which is that “the solution to a problem cannot be solved at the level of the problem”.
